RED DEER FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY . IN STUDIO

The H family visited the photography studio in Sylvan Lake in April of 2018.

We managed to create two different looks and clothing changes for a great variety of images to really tell the story of their family at this stage of celebrating a special anniversary.

There is nothing like the timeless simplicity of a studio portrait session.

Banff Travels. Red Deer Photographer

Because it's tuesday.  And this was filmed in April.  And it's already October.  And I can't believe how much kids can change in six months.

Thought those were good reasons to share.

A little video of our Banff travels.

JUST BECAUSE . PERSONAL

This was last August.  Our annual summertime tradition of visiting Vancouver Island.  One of my favorite places ever.

PUGHVILLE . FAMILY

I visited my talented and lovely friend, Dana Pugh, and her family a couple of weeks ago and we took a few pictures of some very important things.

Like laughter in their home.  And pancakes in the kitchen.  And hugs in the hall.  And jumping on the beds.  And light shining through the windows.  And sunshiny winter walks.

Sweet everyday life.

P.S.  This may be the longest post ever.  Grab your coffee, and maybe a pancake or two.

W . FAMILY

Maybe it's not such a bad thing blogging sessions from last fall 5 months later, in the middle of our cold, more snow than we know what to do with, winter? It gives us a chance to be taken back to our perfect long summer nights, just like this one.

I feel so lucky to have met and photographed this 3 great people (along with their four legged guy, Doug).

Truly one of my favorite sessions of the season.

N . FAMILY

Last fall I met this lovely family at Sunnybrook Farm here in Red Deer.  One of my favorite locations mixed in with some pretty light and a happy family.

It was a good good time.

D . GRADUATION

Dallas graduated this past spring.

And I was lucky enough to visit her and her family at their farm to document one of my most favorite milestones to photograph.

Between the amazing vintage red truck, old hip roof barn, grain bins, yard swings and weathered fences it might possibly my perfect location.  Along with a family beautiful inside and out, it was a great day.
