And then my boys made a wish.
The only rule I had for them was that the wish had to be on behalf of someone else. And not for anything material. Love, peace, happiness, health - for someone else they know.
They talked. They took their time. And I am still not sure what their wish was. But I love that they did it together.
You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. I have decided my last post of the year is going to have to be two.
For the first one, I have selected a few of my personal client favorites from 2011, for this post. And this has given me a great opportunity to look back. Looking at all of these images together - it makes my heart happy and thankful. It solidifies once again, - how - and - why - and - what - I love about photography and telling stories.
The next post will focus on where I want my photography to go in 2012.

You own a camera. You never pick it up. And if you do - you sense immediate frustration in the fact that you can't get the shots you want. So if you did pick it up, you put it back down and your family photos live on your iphone.

Due to the encouragement of some of my favorite people (you know who you are ;)), I have decided to take the leap into teaching a BEGINNERS PHOTOGRAPHY CLASS.
What I hope to achieve from this - or more what I hope you get out of this - is the inspiration to pick up your camera and document your daily life in a creative, easy, fun filled way. In a way that tells your authentic story through your eyes. For your children.

TIME: 7pm - 9pm

COST: $100
You will be required to have a DSLR camera to work with.
WE WILL:
Work at understanding your cameras basic settings, to help you work at getting the shots you want.
Discuss composition and creativity.
Tips on using natural light.
Documenting my family is a huge passion of mine and basically how I got started on this journey. I am super excited to offer this class and can't wait to help you tell the your stories!
